Geniji v kratkih hlačah je zelo napeta knjiga, ki govori o prijateljskih in ljubezenskih dogodivščinah. Informacija oz. učiteljica slovenščine jih seznani, da bodo to leto prvič na šoli imeli svoj časopis UTRIPI. Pika, Genij, Bob, Biba, Pipi in Miha se javijo, da bodo urejali časopis. Člani časopisnega krožka se tesno povežejo in nastanejo ljubezenski pari. Bili so uspešni v tekmovanju z drugimi šolami v časopisnem tekmovanju, zato jih je vzpodbujal kar lastni ravnatelj. Vsi so ponosni na časopis, zato hočejo še boljšega in še bolj zanimivega. Prav zato ukradejo časopis gimnazijcev …
V zgornjem uvodu ste lahko prebrali, o čem govori knjiga Geniji v kratkih hlačah, avtorja Slavka Pregla, ki nas je lani tudi obiskal ob zaključku bralne značke.
